Loft Insulation

If your loft has 100mm or less of insulation currently, then funding is available to have this topped up to the 270mm standard potentially for FREE. This is a straightforward process, and our local installation team will visit your property and add to any existing insulation so that it meets the minimum 270mm requirement.

If your property also has water tanks and pipes in the loft these will also be insulated if they are not already done. This is crucial as during the winter months a loft space can become very cold and these elements of your heating system can be prone to freezing. Your loft hatch, if feasible, will also be draught proofed and have a securing mechanism applied to ensure no draughts can enter your property from your roof space.

Also, many room in roofs or converted loft spaces have a lack of insulation between the plasterboard and the roof itself. This again allows for heat to easily escape making them very cold in the winter months, and in turn, very hot in the summer months. By having the correct insulation within the room in roof can make them a lot more comfortable all year round.

Retrofit RIR insulation is usually done by the application of insulated plasterboards to the inside, then having these finished to the customers specification. The residual area of the loft space is also insulated the same way a standard loft would be. This ensures the RIR and the rooms below are as insulated as they can be, lowering your heating costs and saving you money.
