About Us
Shropshire ECO
Our mission is simple, ‘to enable home owners and tenants access to grants and funding to insulate and heat their properties across the UK’. Shropshire Eco are here to help. We work closely with local authorities and reputable local installers all over the UK to deliver the government ECO (Energy Company Obligation) scheme and would want everyone who can, take full advantage of funding which has been made available.
What Is ECO?
Energy Company Obligation
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government backed energy efficiency scheme in England and Wales set up to help reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty. The scheme began in April 2013 with most customers qualifying under the Home Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO) Under HHCRO, obligated suppliers must provide measures which improve the ability of households to heat their homes. In recent years more and more local authorities have signed up to the more flexible non-means tested side of the scheme and therefore opened this funding up to more and more people.
